Freckles

As we sat in a sandwich shop I was staring at Abby as I oftentimes do. There happened to be some music playing in the background of Dave Matthews Band that I was bobbing my head to. Abby smiled and asked, "You like looking at my freckles and listening to rock & roll music don't you?" What a great combo.

Sisters

Paige got Abby a wii remote to which Abby replied, "Wow Paige! You are a really nice sister today!" Day by day Abby.. Day by Day.

Let's talk

For dinner Abby said, "DO I HAVE to eat the potatoes? I DON'T LIKE POTATOES!" I told her, you eat the asparagus and meat and then we'll talk about the potatoes". She stated, " Mommy! Why would we talk about potatoes? It's just food! We don't need to TALK about it!!"

sarcasm

Jokingly with a serious face, Brad said on Thursday, "C'mon over here Paige, it's time for your whippings". Paige replied, "No dad, we only do that on Fridays!" I laughed so hard knowing my children are truly mastering the art of sarcasm and humor.

A note from the teachers

Abby's daycare teacher sent a note home stating, " Although we appreciate
Abby's correct spelling and letter formation, we let Abby know that she is not allowed to be writing notes like the one attached." Abby correctly wrote BUTT on some construction paper and was showing her friends how to spell it for their own point of reference.
