Paige said to Grandma Dar, " Grandma, your face looks like a puppet face". Then she pointed to the lines on either side of her mouth. Grandma replied stating, "plastic surgery would fix that honey".

Perfection

We had a roller skating party for Paige's 7th birthday yesterday. As we were leaving, I asked her.."So, how was your birthday?" She responded, "It was just perfect." It literally melted my heart. To know that I had spent a day with my child that she thought was perfection. Was it the presents? I am certain it wasn't. She couldn't even tell you what she got on that ride home. But what DID she tell us.."They played my favorite songs and me and
Jane skated so much! Everyone did such a good job skating, mom!"

Guitars

Brad was calling the cat a "ra-TARD" in honor of one of our favorite movies, The Hangover. The girls heard him. He knew I was not happy with that. When they asked him what he just said, he told them he was speaking of a GUITAR. ..The next morning, the cat (Newman) fell all the way down the basement stairs, and Paige told him, "Newman, you silly GUITAR!!!" the closet

I felt "frumpy" today and put on an oversized red shirt from years ago that I used to wear with leggings (in the 90s). Paige asked me, "did you go to the back of your closet again mommy"? I asked why? She said, "because that just doesn't look good mom". I needed the reminder!! She was right! I changed immediately.

Let's Talk

Today Abby and I took a ride to pick up some medicine for her at Rite Aid. When we got there, they told us it would be about 10 minutes. So I told her we would have to wait. She told me, "That's ok mom,we can sit and talk about our feelings".......so we did!
