2nd day of school

I picked Paige & Abby up from daycare and Paige told me, "The 2nd day of school was great! Except, we did more learning". Yup.. that's my girl.

Grandma little

The girls and I were outside with a fire tonight and they were looking for different stars. Abby said, "Grandma Little is up there. I see her in the stars. LOOK!!! I see the wheel on her wheelchair!! It's in that star right there!!" Ahh Grandma Little. Forever in Abby's heart.

cul-de-sac

Wouldn't life be so awesome if we lived in a Cul-De-Sac? --This is not the first time those words have come from Paige's mouth.

sisters

We were roasting marshmallows tonight and Paige told Abby, "I'm glad I have a sister. Without you I would be so lonely. I get to play dollhouse with you and other stuff. With a brother I wouldn't have that." Abby replied, " I know but it would be even MORE fun with a brother".

Chicken

We had chicken for dinner tonight. As I showed Abby how to take the ckicken from the bone she wanted to peel off the skin instead. So she took her fork and slowly peeled back the skin. Then, she looked at me and said, "Mom I like to eat chicken.. except when they are alive."

sweet tooth

"Mom, which tooth is my sweet tooth? I think it's my molar. Am I right? Rachael's mom told me I had a sweet tooth". This from Paige after daycare today. JUST when I thought I would have nothing to post! :)

No offense

I ran a 5K the other day. I was so out of shape. It took me entirely too long to run the race. To surprise me, waiting at the finish line was Abby, Paige and Daddy. I saw them, crossed the finish line and had to hold back tears from my disappointment in myself. Having them there really helped my attitude though. WELL.. We got in the car, and Abby gently states, "No offense mommy, but WOW, that took you SO long!" (ok Abby buckle up).. "No really!! even little kids came in before you!" (ok Abby lets be quiet). " We were waitng and waiting forever! Even old old people came in before you!.. I mean, no offense mommy." "Thank you Abby", I said. (I just find it impossible to squelch the honesty of a child.. But that day, I wish she would have lied.

Perfect

We were eating dinner (actually at home)and we began to talk about the parents of Paige's friends. I was trying to make it a lesson about not judging other people. As Paige and Abby talked negatively about other parents, Piage pointed out "I think you two are perfect parents. You don't let us be spoiled and even though we are sometimes not nice, you love us anyway." Yes.. the words felt so good, but they are going to feel even better when I remind her of those words in 10 years. LOL..
