Brad was calling the cat a "ra-TARD" in honor of one of our favorite movies, The Hangover. The girls heard him. He knew I was not happy with that. When they asked him what he just said, he told them he was speaking of a GUITAR. ..The next morning, the cat (Newman) fell all the way down the basement stairs, and Paige told him, "Newman, you silly GUITAR!!!" Those guitars.

the closet

I felt "frumpy" today and put on an oversized red shirt from years ago that I used to wear with leggings (in the 90s). Paige asked me, "did you go to the back of your closet again mommy"? I asked why? She said, "because that just doesn't look good mom". I needed the reminder!! She was right! I changed immediately.

Let's Talk

Today Abby and I took a ride to pick up some medicine for her at Rite Aid. When we got there, they told us it would be about 10 minutes. So I told her we would have to wait. She told me, "That's ok mom,we can sit and talk about our feelings".......so we did!

S-e-x-y

I bought Paige a dictionary for Christmas. The first word she looked up? "Apartment". The 2nd word??? "SEXY". Lord help me.

sick cat

Our cat seems to have a cold or allergies. Abby grabbed me when he appeared to be gesping for air and screamed..."Watch me!! Watch me!! I won't even laugh at him! See? I'm being nice even though he sounds so funny!!"

Giraffe

I put a turtleneck on Abby today. She was resisting all the way. Angerly she said, "Well what if I wanted to be a giraffe today? Huh? This only lets me be a turtle!"

She just cares

Mom had another surgery today. When I picked Paige up from school she asked, "Did your mom do ok today mommy? (not Grandma...but it was my mom that was hurt) I know you were worried.".. Holding back tears, I told her she was just fine.
